History of the Nebraska CattleWomen The Nebraska CattleWomen Inc. hails from two organizations. The Nebraska CowBelles formed in 1948 during the 60th annual convention of the Nebraska Stock Growers Association in Omaha at the Castle Hotel. The Nebraska Feeders Auxiliary formed in 1976 with beef education being an important goal. The Cow-Belles changed their name in 1985 to the Nebraska CattleWomen Inc. and in June of 1989 the two organizations voted to merge.
American National CattleWomen Creed Believing that the livestock industry is of basic importance to the world existence, we, the AMERICAN NATIONAL CATTLEWOMEN, dedicate ourselves to support it with our labor and finances; to promote it through information and publicity; to encourage its producers with our understanding and love; to do all in our power to install in the coming generation the love of the land and of life; the humility and awe before nature; and the hope and faith in the future that is inherent in cattlemen.
